Malaysia Vs FC Barcelona

Barcelona received goals from three different players as they achieved to a 3-1 friendly victory over Malaysia to close out the preseason. Lionel Messi didn't play due to a injury during the training session in the morning at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, but other players picked up and showed godd performance during the match.

Credit must go to the Malaysian players for playing to perfection to the instruction of the coach to deploy a defensive strategy.  Barcelona, one of the best club teams in the world found it extremely difficult to penetrate the Malaysian defence, with the entire team working very hard to limit the space for the Barcelona players to do any real damage for more than 30 minutes of the match.  Our players were able to read the Barcelona moves well and intercept most of the dangerous pass into the six yard box to avert a bigger scoreline.

To be honest, it was almost impossible to expect the Malaysian football team to beat Barcelona. However, in football, keeping the score down will not win us any trophies or championship.  We need to play an offensive game to be able to score and win matches.  And the defence should be strong to contain and limit the number of goals achived.  In essence, our team should be able to defend and attack well to achieve results

I personally feel the team needs to work very hard to be comparable among the best in Asia.  I can understand if they are unable to score against a strong team like Barcelona.
