Fruits in Malaysia

Malaysia lies in the tropics and is blessed with plenty of rain and sunshine. Many types of trees and plants grow here. Among them are those that bear delicious fruits.
The "King of Fruits" is without doubt the durian. It is an oval-shaped fruit about the size of a rugby ball. Its skin is green or yellow and covered with many sharp thorns. Inside, however, the yellow flesh is soft and sweet. Its smell is very strong. The locals love the durian, but foreigners find the smell hard to bear.
The durian is a seasonal fruit. It normally is in season twice a year. So are other fruits like the mangosteen, langsat, duku, rambutan and mango. We consume these fruits in great quantities.
Other fruits like the papaya, pineapple, banana and star fruit are not seasonal. They are obtainable at all times. Again we consume these fruits in large quantities. In a hot country like Malaysia, fruits provide us with much needed water and other nutrients that are vital for health. Often the fruit-stalls are crowded with people waiting to buy a slice of papaya, pineapple or watermelon to quench their thirst.
We are lucky to have such a huge variety of fruits. In addition to that we get imported fruits like apples and grapes, but they are usually more expensive. So we spend our money mainly on local fruits. I would say that it is money well-spent.

Part Time Job During Study

Yesterday, I read an article, which is about whether teenagers should have a part time job. In today’s society, more and more college students have part time job after school. In my opinion, I support that teenagers have part time jobs in their free time and the reasons are as follows.
First, I think that having a part time job can train the teenagers how to earn money and let them know that it is not an easy thing to make money. Then they will use their money more and more carefully. Besides, I think that being a college student, if we want to buy something we really want, we should earn money by ourselves, not using the money of our parents. Using our own money, we will not feel guilty anymore. Or if the kids can give the parents the money that is earned by them, their parents will be very happy.
The second reason is that having a part time job, we will have the working experience and have the chance to adapt the different relationship between classmates and colleagues earlier than the people who do not have the part time job. Having the working experience can help teenagers find their ideal job more easily in the future. And the teenagers can also learn how to deal with the problems that may happen in their future working circumstance.
Third, teenagers can also expand their interpersonal relationship by having a part time job. In the recent year, interpersonal relationship has become the most important factor in our working environment. If we have a good relationship with our colleagues or friends, when we have problems or want other people to help us, they will try their best to help us. I have read an article; it said, “Without friends, we will not do anything perfectly.” I have the same thought with the writer of this article. Interpersonal relationship is really important in our working place.
In summary, perhaps many people will think that having a part time job may affect our study, but I really think that having the part time job can help teenagers’ future become much better, no matter in the attitude toward money, in getting working experiences, or in interpersonal relationship.

Malaysia: unique country

Malaysia is a multiracial country. Malaysia is unique because of its diversity of races, religions and cultures, the stability of the country and many places of interests. Besides, there are many international achievements which are the pride of our nation.

Diversity of races, religions and cultures is a significant characteristic of our nation. Malaysia is a multiracial country with a rich cultural heritage. Unique to Malaysia is the 'Open House' concept where during the various cultural and religious festival like Hari Raya, Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Gawai Day and others, friends and families and even strangers would visit the homes of those who are celebrating the festival, to wish them well and enjoy the feast prepared by the hosts. Although the visitors may be from different races, they still can tolerate with each other and live under the same roof where they celebrate the festival together. This will help to strengthen the ties among themselves.

Moreover, the stability and peacefulness of Malaysia is also a uniqueness of us. We live harmoniously in a country where there are no wars and conflicts among Malaysians. War is dreadful and it may deteriorate humans' lives. We are fortunate that our country is safe and runs off the war. So, people can live safely here. Somehow, Malaysia is a paradise for those Iraqis or Pakistanis. Besides, our country is freed from natural disasters such as earthquakes. Earthquakes may bring death and destroy many buildings. Therefore, Malaysia is unique because of the stability and peaceful environment.

On top of that, there are many places of interests in country such as beaches, islands and rain forest. Malaysia's rain forest is considered as the oldest in the world. The diverse species of animals and plant life continue to excite a great deal of scientific research. Many believe that some undiscovered plant may hold cures to many currently incurable human diseases. There are many islands in our country such as Pulau Langkawi, Pulau Redang, Pulau Ketam and many others. Pulau Langkawi has a lot of historitical informations. Those who are in favour of history can go there to explore the history of that place. All the beaches in those islands are beautiful. The sand is soft and white. The accommodation is well-established and that makes those islands ideal places to visit.

Following this, there are also international achievements of our country. Those achievements include the existence of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Formula One (F1) racing circuit and the Petronas Twin Towers. KLIA is unique because it has all that is needed for business, entertainment and relaxation within its boundaries. The airport is part and parcel of the Multimedia Super Corridor where high technology industries are being actively developed. Nevertheless, there is a Formula One Race Track near the airport, so foreign car racing enthusiasts from all over the world can come for a visit to gather here. Besides that, Petronas Twin Towers which is a building that soars 452 metres into the sky is once upon a time, the tallest building in the world and yet it is a national pride to the people of Malaysia.

In short, Malaysia is unique that it has diversity of races, religions and cultures, a stable and peaceful environment, places of interest and some internal achievements. Those are important characteristic of our nation. It is rich of cultural heritage; it would be worth to play a visit here.a

Smoking

Smoking has become very common and fashionable, especially among young boys. This habit usually begins at school when boys try to experiment with every new thing that they can lay their hands on.
Despite the warnings given by doctors about the ill-effects of smoking, people continue to smoke. Smokers are addicted to it, and even if they want to, they cannot refrain from picking up a cigar or cigarette and puffing away. Some youngsters smoke for the sake of society and some feel that would make them appear liberated and broadminded.
In the beginning, a teenager may take a few puffs from his friend's cigarette; then comes a time when it becomes an indispensable part of his life. Several puffs lead to the formation of a habit. Soon smoking begins to affect the health of the smoker. He becomes a chain-smoker. This smoke is toxic and the nicotine in the cigarette is known to cause cancer. It is ironic that despite the fact that every smoker is aware of the ill effects of smoking, he does not give it up.
Tobacco companies are doing very well all over the world. Every packet of cigars or cigarettes has a warning inscribed in it: cigarette smoking is injurious to health." Yet the smoker never reads this warning and even if he reads it he never pays heed to it.
The government raises the price of tobacco every year. This is usually done to discourage people from smoking. Yet smokers continue to be slaves of this habit and often spend a substantial part of their earnings on cigarettes. Cigarette advertisements lure people into smoking and most active smokers cause a great deal of harm to passive smokers as well. Smokers force the members of their family to bear the ill effects of the smoke that they exhale. Smoking can be stopped by a strong will power and every person has the capacity to give it up once he sets his mind at doing so.

Benefits of internet

Nowadays, the Internet is growing rapidly. Many people open Internet because it assists a lot of benefits to humans. However, many people become victims after accessing the internet. In this essay, I will discuss the benefits and dangers of the internet.
The internet has many benefits. One of these benefits of Internet is it is the medium of communication. There are many facilities on the internet helps us to communicate such as E-mail, Facebook, Twitter and others. All these facilities enable people to communicate with other people from different countries in the world so that it can explore other cultures of different ethnicity. Also, Internet is a medium of information. Today, a lot of people need the information from the internet. Because every second on the internet, updates the information required by humans. For instance, Google and Yahoo are search engine information on the internet that provide all kinds of topics the information we need. Furthermore, Internet is a medium of entertainment. Internet becomes successful because it provides a lot of entertainment that humans need. For example, today many people are watching or downloading free entertainment on the internet, and many people are playing on-line games.
In contrary, the internet has a lot of disadvantages. The fact of the matter is that the internet has thousands of porn sites. This is the greatest threat to human life, especially the children. There have been many people who became victims of pornographic sites on the internet. For example, now in Indonesia, many teenage girls do not have virgin. That is because porn sites affect their lifestyle so that they eliminate the virgin with boyfriend easily. Also, the Internet sends viruses to your computer. When your computer connects to the internet it is often the case that a virus attacks your computer hard disk. In addition, many people steal personal information on the internet. The case is often occurring in today’s world, when people save personal information such as name, address, credit card number, and others, so many criminals will access the data. Therefore, beware of internet because he has a lot of harm to human life.
In conclusion, I believe that the Internet helps people in the communications, information and entertainment. However, the Internet also has much negative side. Therefore, use the internet for positive things so that we get a lot of benefits.

Boarding school experience

" Boarding school is no difference from a society where I experience every situation, discover who I am, make friends for life, and become a successful young adult.

The best part of going to a boarding school is the people I would meet there. Living among people from all over the world, I would learn about distinguish cultures and styles of living so that I will respect others and their nations more. Being a boarder, I would gradually learn to live independently, respectfully and responsibly as well as become more adaptive. Besides, boarding schools allow me to discover who I am and explore my hidden talents by promising a better academic with strong and broad foundation in every subject as well as shaping the students' characteristics and social skills with number of extra-curricular activities. Along with all the rewards the school offers me , I also expect some challenges namely catching up with a new education systems and adjusting lives with people I have never met before.

No matter it's college life or after that, I truly believe that rewards and difficulties I have experienced at a boarding school will help me to define myself and turn me into a well-rounded young adult who is not only knowledgeable but also very dynamic and responsible in everything it does"

Pollution crisis in Malaysia

Pollution Crisis is a major problem all around the world. It has affected the lives of millions of people and caused many deaths and health disorders.
Pollution is caused by a chemical or other agent that renders part of the environment unfit for intended or desired use. It deserves emphasis that the environment also refers to the place where you live.
There are basically 3 types of Pollution. They are air pollution , water pollution and land pollution.
Each year industrially developed countries generate billions of tons of pollutants. Many pollutants come from directly  sources; sulphur dioxide, for example, comes from electric power plants burning coal or oil.  For example, ozone, a dangerous pollutant in smog, is produced by the interaction of hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides under the influence of sunlight. Ozone has also caused serious crop damage. The increasing number of vehicles have also lead to an increase in Air Pollution, due to the harmful gases like Carbon Monoxide emitted from these vehicles. Gases generated in the Chemical plants also cause air pollution. People suffer because of smoke and bad smell from the industrial units particularly from chemical plants.
The wastewater and liquids from plants and factories are linked with nearby river water, which are polluted when they release disposal from these units. People in Developing/Undeveloped countries also pollute rivers by using the water in these rivers for washing clothes, utensils, bathing and other activities.Oil spilled from ships pollute oceans around the world
Dumping of wastes in many areas is a major cause of Soil Pollution. Also, when soil in and near production areas becomes dirty due to disposal of waste material, such land cannot be used for agricultural operations.
So lets together prevent these crisis from now!

Social issue

Malaysia is categorized as third world country and has received rapid growth in socioeconomic and advance technologies. The globalization makes the world become smaller and all the information could be obtained easily by clicking on the computers. World without any barriers allows cultures from other countries influence the Malaysian especially the youths. There are good and bad cultures. The social problems emerged due to bad cultures from other countries. Cultures which we do not feed into our own cultural and religious values. Most young generations cannot identify and analyze what are the good and bad things. It could eliminate the moral values in each young generation.

There are several factors which caused this phenomenon. Most people blame the parents who are not giving their children full attention. As a mother and father, we are responsible to teach our children how to prevent themselves from being involved in social problems such as smoking, sex before marriage, vandalism, bullying and other negative actions. Nowadays, the parents are going out early in the morning to go to work and reach home at midnight. They do not have sufficient time with the children.

Most of the youth fulfill their free time watching television, playing play station games, surfing internet, learning and trying to use a new handset, listening to music in digital MP3 player and so on. They are fast leaner and expertise in using modern technologies. The technologies are suppose to make our life better and help us to finish our work on time. However, the technologies are also giving the negative impacts if the users abuse the technologies. For example; Internet is used to find a lot of beneficial information to add to our knowledge in various things. Using internet allows us to obtain all the information without limitation. However, we also can search unnecessary websites such as pornography sites, heavy metal music sites, sex sites, black metal sites and so on. Those websites are trying to influence our youth to be rebellious teenagers!

Friends are most important supporter to the youth. They meet their friends almost every day at school and often go out with them. Regarding this phase, the teenagers prefer to share their problems, hobbies, happiness and sadness with their close friends. Friends are the subjects who influence the youth in making decision, build their thinking and confidence without limits. If they are fortunate and associate themselves with good and kind friends, they will be inspired to be brilliant students. They recognize what are the good and bad behaviors.

From the three factors we have discussed, we can conclude that education is the most important agenda to prevent our young generations from being manipulated by the tough situation. Parents should enlarge their knowledge and skills how to teach their children. They should monitor their children from useless or harmful activities. Love your children and develop them to be humble young generation! Therefore, education comes in two forms, informal education from parents and friends, and education from schools, where knowledge is gained especially in academic fields.

Friendship

Friendship is a feeling of love  one person for another. Otherwise friendship cannot be possible. Friendship does not exist where tastes, feelings and sentiments are not similar.
It is said that a friend in need is a friend in deed. There may be many friends at the time of prosperity. We can examine the sincerity of a friend during our time of hardship and trouble. Only a sincere and faithful friend remains with us at the time of our trouble. All others leave us. It is very painful when our friends turn traitors.
Money is an enemy of friendship. Everybody has an attraction for money. When lending or borrowing of money is done between two friends, there is great risk. Friendship may be affected. So it is wise for true friends to avoid monetary transaction. Vanity is another element which breaks friendship. Everybody has self-respect. When a person tries to criticise his friend, their friendship is affected. So friendship must be treated very delicately.
Very often some hypocrites pretend to be friends. They are more dangerous than enemies. By telling soft words they bring enormous ruin to us. A true friend never exploits. He rather surrenders. But at present, the meaning of friendship has changed.
There are many fair-weathered friends. They terminate their friendly tie as soon as their interests are fulfilled. It is very difficult to find a true friend today.  Today, friendship between two persons is short-lived.
Good friends exercise good influence. They always help their friends, in distress and inspire them to walk on the right path. But evil friends ruin us completely.

My hero

As a child, I had always looked to my father as a hero. To me, he was strong enough to take on an army one

handed, tall enough to reach for the moon and give it to me, and wise enough to know everything about

everything. There was nothing my father could not do. He always encouraged me to“get up and try itagain.”

I felt no doubt in his eyes; he made me believe that I can accomplish anything that I set my mind to.

Father is a important person who is everybody in the world should love ,
such as me. My father makes me born to be a human in order to see the social
world. He protect me and takecare of me with love. He instructs me to be a good
person.   Therefore , My father is my hero.

He teach everything I don’t know. When I was young , my father take
care of me   as well as my mother . When I have problem about knowledge in
school such as science , mathematic ,and Islam religion. I can ask my
father everything I can’t understand. He teach me with persistence and give many
examples to explain me and make me understand. During in my admission exam
to the university. He work hardly to be a tutor for me. Finally , I can study in
Universiti Tenaga Nasional. As I expect. The instruction
of my father maker me know many things in this world for example , how to live
    and adjust in every surround.

He protect me from danger. For the past , when I was eight years old. I
fell into the swimming pool in the hotel. That time , I could not swim. I thought
that I could not survive. Then my father jumped into the swimming pool to save
me. This event makes me know that hero really have in the world.

He is a good model for me. since I was born. I know that he loves me
more than the other and he never hates me when he was angry. He is a doctor.
He   work hard and help many people with kindness. He is a great leader who I
should imitate. He lead me to be a good person. Especially , about honesty, he said,
“ Honesty is a good habit that the good person must have “ Now I am confident that
I am honest in every situation and with my friends.

My lovely mother

Our relationship is not like any usual relationship. Like any other ordinary one, at least to what I heard. I never thought that seh is my best friend neither I ever thought she would be the one. But I guess, it just me who cannot see behind the cloud there is always a shiny sun. It is a relationship between my mother and me. My mother is an extraordinary mother. ever since I was born, she always on the move. Always busy. Seldom have the time to cook for us during weekdays.Unlike other family, ayah is the one listening to all my school stories, giving me advices and comforting me when I am in a problem. Nevertheless, ibu never fails to inspire me in her own way. Especially in becoming a great muslim and an awesome wife and mother in the same time. she taught us in different way as such we need to think deeper the reason behind something action. It is does not matter to her if ever people never appreciate her work, as long as she fulfilled her responsibility.Even though she is busy even now, she never fails to text me and calls me sometimes. I wonder how she managed to get everything done. I guess because she is a super mum . I told you, she is unique. Thats is my mother , ibu , my inspiration

My Grandmother

I was playing around with my cousins until suddenly a woman stopped me for a while. She asked ,"how to read this?" . She was showing me the heart of every Muslim , Al-Quran. She was reciting surah Al-Baqarah but not pretty sure if her tajwid (reciting rule) was right. This is the person who inspired me the most., my grandmother. everytime I thought  about her struggle becoming the good muslim just inspiring me. everytime I want to do something she'll said , "remember Allah always" . her love to everyone is just to amazing. She forgives people so easily because for her everyone has the right to accept forgiveness. This is the value which hard for me to find ftom anyone else. But I found it in my grandmother and that inspired me to become a better muslim.

Its been 3 months since she passed away but thinking about her love toward me will always drop me to tears.

What is the meaning of Eidulfitri???

Eid ul-Fitr or Id-ul-Fitr, often said to Eid, is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic month of fasting. Eid is an Arabic word meaning “festivity”, while Fitr means “to break the fast”; and so the holiday symbolises the breaking of the fasting period. It is celebrated starting on the first day of the Islamic month of Syawal. Muslims are to complete their fast on the last day of Ramadan and then recite the Takbir all throughout the period of Eid.

Hari Raya Aidilfitri
is the Malay term for Eid ul-FitrHari Raya is also known as Lebaran. Muslims in Brunei, Malaysia and Singapore celebrate Eid like other Muslims throughout the world. The term “Hari Raya” literally means “Day of Celebration”. The main greeting used by Muslims in Malaysia and Singapore is “Selamat Hari Raya” which means “Happy Eid”. Another greeting is “maaf zahir dan batin” which translates loosely to “I seek forgiveness (from you) physically and spiritually”, for Hari Raya is a time to ask for forgiveness, reconcile and renew relationships with others.

Usually on the eve of the celebrations, family members, especially mothers and housewives, will be busy preparing food, cakes, sweets, biscuits and various delicacies to be served on the day of Hari Raya. Delicacies such asketupatlemang and rendang are among the most famous cuisines that are served during this day. Other family members will help in other chores such as decorating and cleaning up the house.

Malaysia Vs FC Barcelona

Barcelona received goals from three different players as they achieved to a 3-1 friendly victory over Malaysia to close out the preseason. Lionel Messi didn't play due to a injury during the training session in the morning at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, but other players picked up and showed godd performance during the match.

Credit must go to the Malaysian players for playing to perfection to the instruction of the coach to deploy a defensive strategy.  Barcelona, one of the best club teams in the world found it extremely difficult to penetrate the Malaysian defence, with the entire team working very hard to limit the space for the Barcelona players to do any real damage for more than 30 minutes of the match.  Our players were able to read the Barcelona moves well and intercept most of the dangerous pass into the six yard box to avert a bigger scoreline.

To be honest, it was almost impossible to expect the Malaysian football team to beat Barcelona. However, in football, keeping the score down will not win us any trophies or championship.  We need to play an offensive game to be able to score and win matches.  And the defence should be strong to contain and limit the number of goals achived.  In essence, our team should be able to defend and attack well to achieve results

I personally feel the team needs to work very hard to be comparable among the best in Asia.  I can understand if they are unable to score against a strong team like Barcelona.

My Life In The Next 10 Years

Everyone in this world must have their own dream and target in the future. I also have my own. Living in the world without any target or mission is very useless. So here i wanted to share a few of my dream in the next 10 years . Firstly, I hope I will get a very good carrier. During my childhood , I have lots of ambition . These are because on that day, I didt have any clear knowledge about any job. So any job that i look interesting and can earn lots of sallary , I would choice as my ambition. So now , I am clearly knew that i want to be an engineer in the future because of some factors.

Secondly, I want to have a financial and time freedom in the future. I want to be a rich person who dont have any problem to spend money to do something. So , I think I didt want to work as an engineer until I pension. What I want is to have my own bussiness and stop being an employee in any company. Maybe I will work as employee in a few years to gain experince. From this experience I can use it to run my bussiness. So, in the end of my life , I am a bussinessman not an engineer anymore.

Thirdly, I want a big family. I hope I can get lots of children . Being in a family can give lots of benefit to me.

These are the 3 main target to achive in the next 10 years. So from now, I must to struggle and work for these mission. I hope these will became a reality not only a dream.
